Bow Yoho Traverse

Ski tour the Bow Yoho Traverse with ski guides

The five day Bow Yoho Traverse takes you into BC west side of the divide where the snow pack is deep. This trip offers great skiing in alpine bowls, on glaciers and gladded trees from the Stanley Mitchell Hut.

Day 1: Start at the Bow Lake parking 25 min north of Lake Louise. We tour across Bow Lake and up the drainage to the Bow Hut for our first night.

Day 2: We cross the Wapta ice field and tour up to Mt Collie, then descend down onto the Des Poilus Glacier, a nice long run. Next we climb up to the Cats Ears on Isolated Peak and ski down to the Stanley Mitchell Hut were we spent the next 3 nights. A 6-8 hour day.

Day 3 and 4: We have two full days to tour the classic routes, depending on conditions, the options are:
- Mt President and the North Glacier
- Mt McArthur and the East Glacier
- The Emerald Glacier

Day 5: We tour down Little Yoho Valley and onto the main Yoho Valley trail and out to the car park to finish the trip. Around 6 hours hut to car.
