Connaught Slide Path Tour

Ski tour the Connaught Slide Path at rogers pass

The Connaught slide path is on the east shoulder of Mt Tupper and offers 1200 meters of open bowl and avalanche path skiing. This tour is best from mid season on when the snowpack at lower and mid elevations has built up.

The tour starts from the Stone Arch parking low down at 1000 meters. We gain the old CP rail bed and head north to the base of the main avalanche path.

We tour up the path and finally up into the upper bowl at 2200 meters making for a 1200 meter decent to the valley floor.

This area shows little effect from west winds but slabs up fast from warm moderate/strong southerly's.
