Mt Cline

Mt Cline SW Ridge Route

Mt Cline SW Ridge Route 11027ft/3361m

Located 75km north of Lake Louise and east of the Saskatchewan River Crossing on the #11 highway.

This peak is remote and high which sees very few ascents. It offers superb views of the Columbia Icefield and Mt Forbes.

The route is best done early summer with cool temps and when there is still snow covering the moraines.

We follow Thompson Creek for 4-5 hours to get to the camp site at Twin Lakes.

The next day we go for the summit, there is a small glacier to cross and an interesting notch in the ridge that we descend along the route.

It takes around 6-7 hours return from camp to summit the peak.

We can hike out the same day or the next day.
