Peak Scramble Mt Temple

Guided scambles on Mt Temple Banff Park

The views from Mt Temple in Banff Park are simply amazing and not to be missed. The South West Ridge route is the best scramble in the Lake Louise area.

The SW ridge route is the most common way up to the peak and is around 12 hours return.
This route when dry is really no more then a scramble with a few easy rock climbing moves.

Early season snow and ice conditions may require crampons and ice tool for a safe ascent to reach the summit at 11,624ft/3543m .

The driest time of the summer and the best time to climb this route is July through to the first week in September.

This route is suitable for up to 4 guests at one time. There can be a rock fall hazard from climbers above or when conditions are wet. We provide all safety equipment for guest's, including helmet and harness.

Solid hiking boots, ski poles, rain gear, day pack, camera, lunch and water and your ready to go for a big day.
We head out by 6:00 putting us near the summit for noon and hopefully missing any late day showers on the descent.
