Peyto Mistaya Bow Tour

Guided ski trips on the Wapt Ice Field.

This tour offers luxurious accommodation, great skiing in BC powder and a traverse of the north end of the Wapta Ice Field.

Mistaya Lodge, a full service backcountry ski lodge has graciously allowed us to drop in with a small group for a few days and tour some of there amazing terrain. This area has stunning Rockies terrain with a deeper BC snow pack and five different glaciers to ski tour from the hut.

Day 1: We start at Peyto Lake parking 40 min north of Lake Louise. We cross the lake and head up the drainage to gain the glacier and the Peyto Hut for the night, about 2000 feet gain over 10 km, 6-8 hours.

Day 2: We tour up to the Trapper/Baker Col and descend the Baker and Wildcat Glacier down to Mistaya Lodge for a 3 night visit, a 3000 foot run.

Day 3-4: We tour the powder lines at Mistaya:
- Boomerang/West Bowl Connection, from peak to creek with 3900 feet of skiing.
- Grindl Glacier Tour, 2200 foot glacier run from Grindl Peak
- Nexus Glacier Tour, 2000 feet of glacier skiing from Nexus Peak.
