Kain Route, Mt Louis

Mt Louis, Kain Route

The Kain Route is a 5.7 climb on limestone rock and is one of the best routes on Mt Louis.

First climbed by Conrad Kain in 1916, its an impressive climb with tricky route finding.

The alternative Perrin direct finish, the last 2 pitches, goes at 5.8 and is excellent crack and face climbing.

The descent for the route heads down a long gully system on the west face.
This is a big day out around 12 hours return.
Fees are $550.00 for one and $700.00 for two guests.
