Columbia Ice Fields and Jasper Peaks

The Columbia Icefield is located in Jasper National Park and covers an area of 280 sq km. It is the largest icefield in the Rockies and is home to most of our biggest peaks.

This area sports some of the Rockies best snow and ice routes of all grades that attract climbers from around the world. The best conditions are late June and July.

Guided alpine climbs are easily accessible from a base at road side, 2 hours north of Lake Louise and one hour south of Jasper, Alberta along the Icefields Parkway.

There is hotel, hut or car camping available at the base.

Training days are for climbing skills refresher, warm up and or acclimatization if needed.
